ART MESSAGES

Willingness

image25

The Donkey can be a symbol of stubbornness.  These two characters are trying to force their will on Donkey. The end result: No one makes progress. We must be willing to work with one another in order to move forward in a win-win situation

PRAYER for PEACE

image26

This piece (peace) was created for a show I had just two months after 9/11. I used Kokopelli's magical power to send a message for PEACE. The hand with spiral is the human aspect that shares the common bond of the SOUL.

Protector of the Family

image27

This large piece has all the symbols of Family. The main character, recruited for the job of Protecting, is none other than the man with the shield from Facing Our Fears. He stands firm to face whatever challenge may rise in order to insure the protection of his Family. This peace hangs in my home.

Keep the Wheel Turning

image28

This symbolizes the lessons found at the 4 directions of the Medicine wheel; Wisdom in the north with Buffalo, Childhood spirit in the south with coyote, Enlightenment in the east with Eagle and "Going within" for discernment in the west cave of the bear. The message here is not to get stuck in any of these for too long. Keep the wheel of Life turning to maintain a healthy Balance.

The Listener

image29

Who doesn't need someone to listen? I created this for a therapist piece.  PEACE can be FOUND here.

Traveling the currents of life.

Zebra Art - A new twist on word ART

Using white mat with black core, I carefully carve the top layer off to expose the black. Zebras offer a perfect platform for disguising a word within the shape.

Fun with Progression

Start with a shape

I made this for a talented young woman who works in a demanding office. I chose a word that befitted her.

Why two Zebras?

This includes two words; first is what this young lady's father used to call her and the second, her profession.
